Who controls your information
NEXUS UK is responsible for deciding how personal information covered by this policy is used. For privacy questions, access requests or deletion requests, open a private support ticket through the NEXUS UK Discord.
Discord, Tebex, Minecraft/Mojang and other linked providers separately control information they collect through their own services.
Information we collect
Website information: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, diagnostic information, security logs and strictly necessary session information.
Minecraft information: Minecraft username, player identifier where supplied, faction membership, rankings, in-game balance, vote totals, activity status and other server statistics shown by NEXUS MC features.
Discord bot information: Discord user ID, username or display name, server ID, channel ID, role and permission information, command names and inputs, bot configuration, and moderation or support records where those features are used. Message content is processed only where a command, moderation or support feature requires it; the bot is not intended to archive ordinary conversations.
Information you provide: reports, appeals, support requests, attachments and other information you choose to send to staff or through an enabled feature.
Where information comes from
We receive information directly from you, from Discord when you interact with the bot, from the NEXUS MC game server and connector, and automatically from hosting and security systems when you visit the website.
Public leaderboard and faction information is obtained from the Minecraft server rather than collected through a separate website account.
Why we use information
- Operate bot commands, website features, leaderboards, faction displays and server integrations.
- Authenticate authorised staff and remember essential settings.
- Moderate the community, investigate reports and enforce rules.
- Prevent spam, abuse, cheating, fraud and security incidents.
- Diagnose faults, measure reliability and improve the Services.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.
Lawful bases
Where UK data-protection law applies, we process information when necessary to provide a feature you request or administer the service relationship; for our legitimate interests in operating a safe, reliable Minecraft community, preventing abuse and resolving disputes; to comply with legal obligations; and, where specifically requested, on the basis of consent.
We balance legitimate interests against the rights and reasonable expectations of affected users. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
How we share information
We may share limited information with providers that host, secure or support the website, game server and bot; with Discord when bot actions are performed; with authorised NEXUS UK staff; and with legal authorities where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people and the Services.
We do not sell personal information, Discord API data or Minecraft player information. We do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
Retention
Leaderboard snapshots are replaced as the Minecraft server synchronises. Bot server settings are normally retained while the bot remains installed and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Routine diagnostic and security logs are generally retained for no longer than 30 days unless an incident requires longer investigation.
Moderation, appeal and support records may be retained for up to 12 months after closure, or longer where reasonably needed for repeat-abuse prevention, safeguarding, legal claims or a legal requirement. We periodically remove information that is no longer necessary.
Cookies and local storage
The public website does not use advertising cookies. Strictly necessary cookies or similar storage may be used for security, staff authentication and essential session functions. Third-party pages opened from our links may use their own cookies under their own policies.
International processing
Discord and some hosting or infrastructure providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards provided by those services, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
Security
We use access controls, limited permissions and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please report suspected unauthorised access through a private Discord support ticket.
NEXUS UK will never ask for your Discord password, authentication token, Minecraft password, payment-card details or one-time security code.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
To make a request, open a private ticket through the NEXUS UK Discord and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account safely. We may ask for reasonable verification. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 and users must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement for their country. Do not submit information about a child through the bot or website. Contact us if you believe information has been provided contrary to this section.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when the Services, providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available at this address, with its effective and updated dates shown above. Material changes may also be announced through Discord.
